Payment Plans for Travel Medical Insurance

If you go on a visit overseas and have a medical emergency, you do not have to worry about any of the costs associated with travel medical insurance. Ok, let is take a step back and restate the sentiment expressed out the outset: if you travel overseas and have a medical emergency you will not have problems with costs if you have travel medical insurance AND have properly played your premiums! Yes, you have to make sure that the premiums have been paid, but since we are all humans and make mistakes it is not impossible to completely forget about making payments. So, rather than rely on your own memory to make sure that travel medical insurance premiums have been paid it would be wise to have direct debit payments set up so you do not have to worry about such problems.

For those not familiar with direct debit payments what they entail is simply setting up a pre-approved withdrawal from a debtor to a bank account or a credit card. This way, when the due date comes up for the travel medical insurance there is no reason to send off a check out in the mail (where it can get lost); you can simply relax and then the direct debit can handle the financing. This way, there are no worries about having a policy cancelled. Well, it is possible if the bank account – checking or savings – has no money in it. Instead, it is a wiser idea to use the credit card instead especially if the credit card has a huge remaining credit balance. (Of course, it is also suggested that you pay off your insurance payments on the card off every month as you do not want the credit balance to max out and cause any further payments to be rejected) Your travel medical insurance is important. Don’t let it expire due to an oversight.
